A Day at the Zoo

I kindly like going to the San Diego Zoo. The most peaceful thing is  listening to the truly friendly free birds. I like the birds; they remind me of my nice childhood  spending time outside in the streets and parks in Paris and in England.

Having friends to share the very frankly wonderful bond I have with birds is truly the nicest part.  Friends, Maxime and Sarah,  came to visit from Europe and wanted to go to the zoo. Hearing them  greatly have a nice time there made my day. Though I really mostly like Maxime and Sarah talking, to go to the zoo is nice because the zoo can be peaceful; there are lots of things to see that keep your companions quiet. Kindly it’s nice to have friends that understand my sensory challenges, like the weekend with Maxime and Sarah. Learning to be in different environments makes me less autistic. Mainly my friends make just the best  learners kindly trying to support me in my behaviors, because my  body responds better with people I know and trust.

Justly the realization that my friends from my childhood can still love to spend time with me makes me feel there is hope for my  future as a person with friends.

  3. I was intrigued to read “my body responds better with people I know and trust.” How does your body respond to people you don’t know and trust? Thanks for sharing!

    Oh Jeremy,
Your friends must feel like they are the lucky ones! And you are correct when you say….they are your learners in supporting your sensory behaviors. My son Dustin has a lot of sensory issues. One of his strongest sensory issue is to smell. It doesn’t matter wherewe go, it affects him in the worse way. I am Dustin’s Mother. Everyday his strongest challenge to smells take over his day in the worse way. He too has a few friends who understand it when his behaviors arise. Unfortunately, there should be more compassionate people like your friends and my son, Dustin’s friends. Let’s hope more people will follow, in days to come.
Thank-you for sharing your feelings. And I am glad you enjoyed your time with your friends at the zoo.

  5. Hi Jeremy,
I really enjoyed what your wrote about the zoo. Your choice of words really made me think and feel what it must have felt like for you. I read it to April and she liked it too. We both like your perspective and will look forward to reading more of your posts.

  7. Hi Jeremy – my son, Tony, whom you’ve met, loves birds too. Tony loves to be outdoors with nature, watching the birds fly thru the trees.
