Welcome!

Welcome to my website.  I have autism and a keyboard.  My dream is to create more understanding about autism.  Having autism is not always easy and the awareness only helps all of us live better lives.  That is why I am a writer and autism advocate. I serve as the Autism Research Institute’s youth representative to the United Nations, and  I am a Youth Leader for the Autistic Global Initiative. I feel honored to have been chosen.

I often have one-sentence thoughts about real life concerns. My support staff would say “That’s a Jeremyism!”  whenever I would type one, because it made sense to them. I usually get my Jeremyisms from thinking about my life, but it appears to apply to many people’s lives. That’s why I started to twitter my Jeremyisms.

Soon there will be information on this website  about my new book to be published by Macmillan, and events at which I am presenting such as Autcom in October. Feel free to contact me about possible writing assignments or presentations.

So far, listening to your Mom yesterday, I learned more about your book and what it was like for you as you were growing up. I ordered your book. Also I learned about the similarity of thoughts that happen in Autism (as you and Temple Grandin explain it). and ADHD, that is, flooding of random ideas and thoughts. The other thing that seems similar is difficulty with transitioning and changing from one activity to another.
Your viewpoint is valuable to me, I am enjoying learning how you and other people with ASD look at life, I have ADHD and my son does too. I have heard that all these different ways of thinking are linked. Thanks for helping me learn.
    Keep moving forward.

I am doing a research at the moment about nonverbal autistic teenagers and how to help them increase their communication skills ( I am a special education teacher) . I ended up on your website and I am truly amazed about what you have achieved. I would love to ask you some questions, it could really help my research and my teaching in general! Angeline

Jeremy, Hi this is our second message on your board but do not see the previous message. Ryan was so disappointed to miss you when you came to Cincinnati. You both have so much in common. Our email is ptafam@aol.com. He would love to ask you questions and in support and friendship. Your post about feeling safe.. Ryan has that same feeling as well. He has the ability to discern many peoples inner feelings. It is hard to deal with many times. A gift but yet a hard reality to deal with as well. So, saying that to say we care about you and hope you are ok.. you have new friends in Cincinnati.
